Windows Movie Maker
Class Description

Sessions:  2

Total Hours:  4

Prerequisite:  None

There are many programs out there to help you make slide shows with your digital still images and make movies with your digital footage from a camera.
This program has the advantage of NO cost to you.   If you have Windows XP on your computer you have Windows Movie Maker

It’s an easy to learn and use program, it walks you through many of the necessary steps.  You will be able to bring your digital still images and digital video into the program,  edit the video to include just the parts you like,  and then arrange the photos and video in the order you prefer.

Another nice feature is a good selection of transitions to display between the still images or your different video clips.   This gives it that professional look !

And of course you will be able to add background audio of your choice from your collections of audio files on your computer or downloads from websites.
In addition to this background audio, you can also add the narration of your choice ( voice overs ) to the areas of your presentation where you think it would be useful.
( microphone required )

And  there’s still more.  You can add titles to the photos or video, you can build text opening and closing pages, even have scrolling text credits at the end of your productions.

If you have the older analog video from a camcorder, you will be shown how you can use this in Movie Maker also.  This would involve you buying an additional piece of hardware to convert this analog video to digital video.  ( about $60 )

A very useful program to display your photos and video in a professional looking presentation that’s easy to learn and use.
